LHD — Linear Heat Detection Cable

The LHD platform is a fixed-temperature linear heat detector. Its thermosensitive insulation collapses at the designed activation point, short-circuiting the two inner conductors and giving your addressable fire panel a clean, unambiguous trigger — anywhere along the cable run.

It is the cable we most often recommend for cable trays, road and rail tunnels, floating-roof tank rims, warehouse racking, cable galleries and data-center under-floors: any environment where point detectors are too sparse or the ceiling is simply not there.

Why Engineers Pick LHD

  • Continuous coverage — every centimeter is a sensor, no dead zones
  • Factory-calibrated activation at 68 / 88 / 105 / 138 / 170 / 185°C
  • Triggers an alarm within 3–10 s/m under direct flame exposure
  • IP67 jacket system — IEC 60529 IPx7 baseline; also passes our internal 24-hour static-immersion soak test
  • Tensile strength > 2 kg — survives cable-tray pulls
  • Compatible with all major LHD control panels (dry-contact loop)

TS — Compact Thermosensitive Cable

The TS platform is designed for in-device integration: a thin, flexible thermosensitive cable that lives inside the product you build. It senses an over-temperature event in the immediate vicinity of the thermal risk — a motor winding, a battery cell, a transformer core — and cuts the control loop before insulation damage occurs.

Unlike NTC thermistors or thermocouples, TS is itself the trigger element. It is the entire sensing path in one part — which is why OEMs choose it for compact, cost-sensitive and safety-critical designs.

Why Engineers Pick TS

  • Single-part over-temperature sensing — fewer SKUs, fewer failure modes
  • Custom setpoint matched to your thermal design
  • Slim and flexible — routes through motor slots and battery pack seams
  • Stable electrical and dielectric behavior under continuous duty
  • RoHS · CE · ISO 9001 batch inspection

Cable Core Architecture

Both LHD and TS platforms can be built with or without a metallic inner conductor. Here is how to decide.

Polished cross-section comparison of two thermal sensor cable architectures — metal-conductor on the left and non-metal core on the right — with a millimetre scale ruler for engineering reference

Metal-Core vs Non-Metal Core

Metal-core (standard): twin copper or nickel-plated conductors for low-resistance signal transmission to the panel — the default for LHD loops. Non-metal core: purpose-built for specific detection topologies where metallic conduction is undesirable — specified on a case-by-case basis.
